If both of your flights are on the same ticket, you will get both boarding passes at WLG and your bags will be tagged and automatically transferred to PER. You will need your passport at WLG as you are starting your international journey.

On the way back, you will need to pick up your bags at AKL to clear Customs and you can drop your bags at Domestic Bag drop counter next to international check-in, before going to the Domestic Terminal.
