Not having screwed up makes me feel better, and less of an idiot, thanks Globaliser. Actually the only benefit I was after by linking ( if it had been possible) was not losing our return BA flights & having to pay again. We should arrive in BLR from CMB at 8 pm, with a local hotel pre- booked, and our BA to LHR leaves next morning at 08.00. As the SR flight is the only one each day, my concern was missing the BA if SR is hugely late or cancelled, and being left without tickets home. I still naively hope that as a LTG BA would still put us on a "stand by" for next available if a OW cancels. But the recent changes suggest that my past 50 years of spend has little value to BA, or at least is de-valueing.
