I've read reports in the past that "further reviews" are generally very hard to turn into approvals with Citi. Should I wait to see how it will go or should I call in?

If you get to the "Application Received" page and then it allows you to setup account preferences and get to Step 5, your chances of approval are very good. If you only get to the "Application Received" page, you are still OK but the chances are not as good. If you are in a hurry, you can try calling but if they really need to talk to you the online Application Status will tell you to call. You should get an email with the Application ID and link to the online Application Status.
