The former US Airways clubs (eg PHX PHL CLT BOS) still ask for the card, though you can usually talk your way in by saying you lost your card and are waiting for the new one. Otherwise, the AA clubs just scan the boarding pass.

The former US clubs are expected to switch over to new systems later this year.
