Horrible Experience with Vayama for Change in Air Tickets

In response to your post, without access to your specific booking and the associated fare rules, I am unable to provide an informed response. Given that to be the case, please respond with your Vayama Trip ID.

In advance of that, many of the discounted fares issued through Vayama have very restrictive rules. Historically in the airline business, the deeper the discount, the more restrictive the rules.

More recently, the airlines have implemented a ruling that while they will allow changes to be made with the payment of a change penalty plus the difference in fare, if any, they require ALL changes to be made in advance of the original departure date. This is to push the traveler into making a commitment and NOT sitting on the ticket for up to a year following the date of issuance.

Again until I have access to your booking and the associated fare rules, I can't say with any certainty what rules apply to your ticket.
