I have used the HH website and received what I believe are the best rates for booking. I book my reservation then check back every few days right up to 3 days before check in as that is the last opportunity to canx/change a reservation without penalty. The price changes in LV for hotel rooms fluctuate like the stock market. Every time they go down for the same room I rebook to get the lower rate.

If targeted by the Hilton Grand Vacation timeshare telemarketer salesman it will be better price but you have to sit through a 2 hour timeshare sales pitch. And there may be other restrictions as well IRT weekends or specific dates since you are not making a reservation with the salesman who calls you.

I don't know of any coupon code to give a discount rate, but if that exists I too would like to know for future reference since I stay here about once a year since it opened as a HH property.

As for the AMEX card, that gives you discounted use of HH points award stays of 4 nights and the card gives you best CC rewards for HH spend. My opinion is LV is a horrible use of HH points due to the cost of the room vice amount of points required to book the same room.
