Test trial for buy-on-board food service on short haul flights

With last summer’s successful launch of the Onboard Restaurant Service on medium-haul domestic flights, Air Canada and Cara are now conducting limited testing of similar service on short-haul domestic flights (1hr – 1h45) where little or no food service is currently offered. This type trial, which will be conducted from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3 in Economy Class only, will offer light meals and snacks and will help us assess the viability of expanding the popular onboard restaurant service program throughout our North American network. Customers on type trial flights will be asked to complete a short survey to let us know what they think of the service. If the flights are successful, a tentative launch date for the service is set for January 2004.
