Thankfully my call went through today. I want to put this information here in case it helps other people. She said not to worry about the A4 size and just print in standard paper is fine. Also regarding making impromptu travel decisions she said its ok as long as its a day trip to another country not mentioned during the interview but if you are staying overnight at a country that you did not mention beforehand there might be problems if border patrol asks you questions. She said they have to cover for all the countries we are visiting and things need to be specified beforehand.
