I learned the address of the co-pilot's Düsseldorf apartment from a BBC news item on Saturday (the street signs were visible in one of the shots). I had been curious as to where in the city he might have lived - I lived in Düsseldorf, briefly, many years ago, and not all that far from the airport. However, when I typed the streetname into Google, several news sources were returned - all of them Italian.

It still seems to be predominantly Italian websites (one Greek one also pops up, today) that have published the street-name.
Thanks for the interesting contribution, irishguy!

The age of the aircraft was reported within the first hours after the tragedy.

As always some reporters just didn't want to wait until they have facts but to be the first with their coverage.

Even the time of the first registration of the a/c was then an issue (don't remember exactly if it was 1990, 1991). And then news stated that this aircraft was nearly 25 years old or so.

At that time I thought it was disrespectful - not thinking of what later emerged.
