I presume that the OP's 10:30 PM JFK-LHR would be on AA out of T8. Otherwise, not sure why he would have posted in this forum vs. the FT BA forum.

Ah, that's a fair assumption and one that would have been better read by me post-coffee!

In which case, then yes -- PreCheck would work but the lounge would be worse (unless EXP). I still always recommend JFK.
