Happy customer here. 7 EY sectors in the last 3 months in business class , all great in terms of service, although some of the J cabins are a bit worn. I've been lucky to be upgraded to F as well (perhaps because I'm now gold FF status) which is really very good. I've been on the new A380 in J once and its superb. Also, a la carte menus in the LHR, CDG, and SYD lounges, enjoyed those meals, but havent looked for that in AUH.

AUH airport - two criticisms. One the queuing shambles at security between terminals, two there was one time I had a very long hike between terminals ...but given I was on a 24 hour trip between LHR and SYD I wasnt grumbling about getting the exercise. Meanwhile, a Six Senses spa in the business class lounge means a free 15 minute back or head massage, and a shower, and when I was there last month they opened a barbershop (or is it only for shaves, not sure?).

I've just booked another LHR-SYD return so my money is where my mouth is. Doesnt hurt they are offering exceptional value on that route too. But I fully understand its possible that other routes my have their issues.... I can only comment on my experience.
