Just in the middle of my first visit to the JER lounge. It's pleasant enough, has local beers, pint glasses, and a near envious range of crisps that a BS-managed lounge can only dream of serving.

At least two of my gluten-phobe friends would be overjoyed by the GF comestibles offered.

I almost feel nostalgic that two armchairs in the "Utopia" fabrics - Animals and Trees, I think - have managed to survive, along with the slatted wooden screens. Were there ever any Channel Islands Utopia images? I know Cornwall had "Colour Down the Side" which could be found on some of the Dash-8 fleet, and the original art for it is in T5 Galleries Arrivals.

There is a certainly a feeling of sitting in a "slightly nicer corridor", which sort of emphasises the waiting room vibe.

Now, if it had a nice big window facing the apron...

Appropriating a chunk of the viewing deck as a lounge might be fun!

Best dash. I think there's a lovely LGW Band 1 afternoon tea waiting for me.

Cheers,
Mike
