We've flown a few reward trips before, but now I'm planning a potential West Coast trip in the summer school holidays for 2017. We'll need 5 seats - and it occurs to me that may be a virtual impossibility if they are all reward seats! We're likely to be flexible both over dates and airports in the West Coast range, but it strikes me that the only realistic way to organise this is either a split-class booking, or everyone in Y and paying real money for the missing seats.

Anyone got any experience of booking large numbers of reward seats? I expect that seats may be in high demand for summer 2017 as well, not that I can't keep an eye out for when they appear, but it may reduce BA's willingness to offer any more than the bare minimum.
