There are two different A330 variants. The -300 and the -200. Which one are you on? On the -200, row 21 backs up to the lavs which might limit the recline. Shouldn't be an issue on the -300 as it's in the middle of coach. If you are talking about flight 837, it is currently a A330-300, but is switching to a 747.
