I applied for my card on 12/29. I finished making the minimum spend on 3/28 (I was $80 short and didn't realize it...). My statement doesn't close until 4/18. Did the clock start ticking exactly on my approval date of 12/29? Do I have to pay the last of the $2000 threshold before my 3 months? Wondering if I should make an early payment to be safe.

-you have about 103 days from approval, according to the rep. I spoke to last month
-if you read the Applying for Chase Cards.. thread in the Chase Forum you will also find out that Chase's cut off for meeting your spend is actually ~4 to 5 days before the statement closes!!! Be aware. Finish your spend at least 5 days before the close of your statement. In your case that would be ~4/13. Finish this weekend and you'll be fine.
