Definitely not. I was on the phone with them for over an hour yesterday trying to get my 70k UR points... no dice. Why?

They said I did not meet the $5k spend threshold within the 3 months timeframe. No wiggle room, even though I met it a week after their "deadline" - which, by the way, is when the account is opened, not when the card is activated/used (much to my unknowing chagrin). So in short, zero bonus for me, after $5k (now well above that) in spend, and looks like I'll be canceling this Chase Ink card soon.

@hookM36 - No, according to the UR CSA and the Chase UR supervisor I talked with, no waiving of the annual fee (AF) if you opt for the higher $5k spend for 70k UR points promotion.

Sadness for me, but oh well. Gotta wait 24 months now...
