It's nice that the Minister of Transport ordered all Canadian airlines to implement the procedure. It's a policy that should have been in place long ago.
I see it as a knee jerk reaction before all facts are known, and without an analysis of the possible side effects. I'd rather wait until the CVR data is analysed and the FDR is found and analysed before making any regulations.
Doing anything now is shooting blind and hoping for the best.
