Some media sources are reporting that the subject of the French prosecutor's investigation was previously a flight attendant.
An expansion of two-person-at-all-times rule for the cockpit won't only hit in-cabin service levels, it will also result in more people being able to access the cockpit during flight. That includes more flight attendants being in a better position during the flight to take out the remaining pilot and locking out the co-pilot.
