I have the following itinerary coming next week: PHL-ORD-NRT-SGN all on AA except the NRT-SGN (JAL). Not sure if I could go two for two on the connections, so here are my connection times:

PHL – ORD (scheduled to arrive at 12:41pm) – 54 minutes layover
ORD – NRT (scheduled to depart at 1:35pm, and arrive at 4:40pm +1 day) 1hr 20 mins layover
NRT – SGN (scheduled to depart at 6:00pm)

I have the following questions:

1) Would I have enough time to make the connection at ORD?
2) Should I check my bag at PHL?

Since I am requesting an upgrade for the PHL – ORD, I think I can save myself 5 mins. And with OW Sapphire, I think I can get the priority for my bag and security at NRT. Any thoughts? Thank you very much for your help.
