Farelock problem

I purchased a farelock and as soon as I saw the confirmation, realized that it was for the wrong date. I hit the cancel and refund reservation button immediately. Then I purchased a farelock for the correct date. This all took place in the span of about 60 seconds.

Now I see 4 pending charges on my credit card. (The reservation was for two tickets.)

I called United and they told me no farelock refunds.

I should also mention that the farelock is a little deceptive in that it is not immediately clear that you are purchasing a farelock for each ticket. When you purchase a ticket, it is very clear that you will pay for each ticket. Farelock makes it look like the amount shown is for the entire reservation.

Anyone have any luck getting a refund on this type of situation? I guess I can dispute it via my card company, but how does United react if you do a chargeback through your cc company? I don't want to jeopardize my ff account for $60 . . .
