I'm not aware of any truly great, nearby brasseries, but you might want to try Le Vaudeville (part of the Esprit Brasseries chain) near the Bourse metro, or Le Grand Colbert, just a little further. I haven't been to either recently & reservations are recommended.

Not a brasserie, but Alain Ducasse's Aux Lyonnais has pricey hearty food. Also NOT a brasserie, but one of my favorites is on the same street, Le Gavroche. This one is not for Paris rookies.
