Do I accept them as a gift from karma (most likely because I've chosen to fly AA over DL for all of my non-SEA travel for the past year, despite my streak of bad luck on AA where invariably at least one leg of my itinerary is canceled)?

Opinions?

I agree. I am usually one of those who say to tell them and let them decide if they will let you keep them as it is the right thing to do. But I think here I would just accept them with gratitude. You didn't do anything remotely deceitful (like canceling a credit card just after the companion code posted). It would inspire even more continued loyalty to AS in my books.
