Thanks. It's just that the OP said that this is a redemption booking - I think that's why many of us thought that this was odd.
But for my part, I had simply assumed that this was a BA-BA booking. Thinking about what you say about AA, the booking might be for LAX-LHR on AA - that might explain what's happened here.
