You mean AA J up to YYZ, right? Connecting through MIA seems to be a rather long detour for an extra 40TP. Why would you not connect through JFK on the way out, too? Same TP for the transborder segment, F tier points (until end of April) for the TATL.
(Of course OP hasn't actually said they want to all-out maximise TPs, maybe they're happy with 40+180 TP for DUB-LHR-YYZ to save time and an encounter with CBP.)
