Paying with cash or miles?

If you want to squeeze out an extra hour, routing JFK-ORD-LHR looks to be about the same price.

And if you're paying for the ticket, might as well try AA one way and BA the other. Maybe even try out BA's A380 service between LHR and IAD (with a short hop to JFK tacked on)
