BrlDsguise, both room types you mentioned are their smallest room sizes. To see an improvement, you need to be in at least a Cityview Deluxe corner King on the highest floors. If you come in early enough on Friday, as a Diamond, hopefully you can get an upgrade to that or to a high floor jr. suite. In those jr. suites, the bed area is somewhat compact but there's a nice parlor with a sofa and TV. Once you've been in either of these room types, the two you mentioned seem small.
I might potentially stay here for a three night stay in early June when the Conrad is a bit higher rate than preferred and it would be a Junior Suite City View, so I take from your comments that such a room would be a moderately decent size for NYC. A few of the posts criticize the room conditions being worn, is that your sentiment as well?
