Coming to NYC for one night in May, to catch a Broadway show before a weekend camping trip in NJ. I'm planning to use my Chase free night, and looking at the IC or the Crowne Plaza Times Square. Both are available on free nights for my day.
- The CP is a block away from the theater, the IC a longer walk.
- We'll have a car to park; it looks like the IC garage is $25 (still?), vs $50-60 at the CP.
- I think in general ICs are nicer, but from this thread, this one isn't so special, and it looks like the CP has some great views.
Any thoughts from those who have stayed at either or both recently? Which would you prefer?

I've stayed at the IC a few times, but was looking into the CP a few days ago. There were reports of a $25 resort fee at the CP on Tripadvisor, possibly waived for Platimum members. I didn't delve into it further, but you might want to check if you're thinking of staying there.
