Flew to Miami a few weeks ago and sadly the plane was switched at the last minute to OF. I had made an amex 241 booking with my avios and voucher to treat a friend. BA have paid out the 50k per person avios compensation however they have split the avios between our 2 accounts, rather than paying me back the full avios. Is this standard practice or can I get BA to change this and move his 50k avios to my account?

He wants me to have his avios as we will be using the 100k avios and my new 241 voucher to book the same trip for next year and I currently don't have enough to do so.
