I know from previous business trips that generally, China domestic flights are not as reliable... However, I am trying to book a trip where I would lose a day in the front and back if I had to put a 1-day buffer in my plans...

Anyway, I'm looking at getting from JZH (Jiuzhaigou) to PEK. I see at least 2 flights per segment which works. How safe am I in getting to PEK so I can catch my return flight (different ticket/airline) home?

If it makes a difference, I will be booking this flight on united.com with points. I need to catch my AA flight at 16:25 (PEK - DFW). I don't expect to have checked luggage. However, i don't know which terminal I'll be arriving and departing in.
