If you see 2-3 options you like, then go for it. But if you're angling for the 3 seats in row 22 in the example, you'll need to be prepared to take row 24 in case.
Really? As long as I have a fare that includes advance seat selection, I've never not been able to select seats that were available on the seat map before booking.
