Offering this level of predictability makes a lot of sense imo.
That's only because DL was significantly changed! The programme rules of frequent flyer programmes are typically stable over time except that once in a while, they change them quite significantly. FB did that several years ago (aka "April Fool's Day" in Flyertalk linguo) but there is no reason to expect other major changes soon.
