There is no way to predict the future unfortunately. But right now there also is no reason to expect the rules to change...but of course, things can always happen.

Keep in mind that if you 'over' qualify you can roll over the additional miles to the next year. If you gather enough miles for Platinum in only 4 months you should be able to gather enough miles this year to keep the status for a couple of years extra
