Well, my local Sainsburys is selling Nicolas Feuillatte at £20 including a light-weight small ice bucket, so I brought it here, grabbed a bottle of Prelude, filled it with some ice and some Highland Spring water and, hey presto, I'm enjoying my Taittinger at the temperature that the Good Lord intended! The waitresses aren't batting an eyebrow, so I'm probably not the first one.
Next time, grab some salt and add a few teaspoons to the ice for a super-fast chill!
