Bought some Economy tickets from USAirways. Then paid -- all this with the Ritz-Carlton Visa -- to get several legs upgraded to First. (Is it somehow a violation that the cost on one leg, to HI, was 2x $150 plus 15,000 USAirways miles?) Anyhow, on the charge card, it's just showing up as a separate $300 charge, like the >$1,000 charge for the original tickets.
My wife is the cardholder, hence has to make the call, so I would like to get all my ducks lined up beforehand. Any advice here, like is there a way to get documentation that will make this kosher to Chase?
IME just calling in and asking for reimbursement as upgrade costs works fine. Every rep I've talked to on this card has been pleasant and helpful. Apparently there are some there who aren't, but I've yet to encounter one in 4-6 calls over the last several months.
