I was Platinum last year and am currently no status, on track to reach Platinum this summer. Fingers crossed they'll bring back soft landings!
Spectacular news, if true. I'm one of those up and down fliers. Some years I fly plenty, others I don't have enough 'necessary' flying to justify several mileage runs for status. But I always came back because even if all I had was gold, it was better than having nothing elsewhere.
