Just had a surprisingly good outcome with a lost iPad I left behind in the 2E seat back pocket on a LAX-HNL flight on 3/16.
I didn't realize I de-planed without it until I was getting ready to board my HNL-KOA flight from the HA inter island terminal so had no time to run back to the UA gate area. I called the Premier line and they directed me to fill out a lost and found form on united.com which I did immediately. At this point, I figured I had a 1 in 100 chance of ever seeing that iPad again.
Shockingly, at around 10am the very next morning I received a call from a HNL based CSR that my iPad had been found and was available to be shipped back to me. Apparently UA has partnered with 'Chargerback' to coordinate this. After speaking with the CSR, received an email with a link to set up the shipping. All-in paid $11.50 for Priority USPS delivery and my iPad has arrived back at my home in NYC as I write this from the Big Island.
Not sure if this amazingly fast response had anything to do with status or class of service on my flight, but this definitely ranks up there as one of my most positive experiences with UA.
