If you are a HHonors member, just change your earning for your next stay to HHonors plus Miles and choose AAdvantage. You'll get activity on your account and push back the expiration 18 months. Otherwise you can credit a rental car rental to AA as well..

Just giving options beyond the shopping portal. I refuse to use Cartera. Ever.
