I'd like to book 2 OIT-HND one-ways to clear out my wife's JMB balance before she moves over to QF, but she's just under 700 points short (has 16313, needs 8500x2=17000 under the new April chart).

JL does not appear to offer the option to buy the missing points outright. We do not live in Japan and nobody else in the family has JL miles. We do have one QF flight to Japan in the works before this, but we were hoping to credit it to QF since it'll earn way too many miles (>3000); and one qualifying hotel stay, but that would earn only 500 mi and is only a few days before the desired flight date anyway. JAL e-points/coupons are suboptimal because (as far as I can tell) they can't be used for Yokoso Japan fares booked overseas.

Any ideas? Thoughts about how to maximize the value we get from the remaining points also most welcome. It looks like 10k is the quantum needed for pretty much everything, so we might need to credit that last flight to JL to pad out to 20k.
