It generated another Gold Plus Reward but not Five Star. This was done at the Canadian Amex Platinum site after signing in and following enrol instructions.
It appears to be either a glitch in Hertz's system or this perk has been discontinued for Canadian Platinum members. The latter seems to be the case.
I called Amex Platinum this afternoon which assured me that the Hertz Gold 5 Star status that comes with the Amex Platinum is still available. So I don't know what's going on at Hertz, or the Amex Platinum agent was not up to date and the web site information has not yet been updated.
I have sent an enquiry to Hertz.
