We have award reservations PVG-HKG-SFO on KA connecting to CX first class. I have noticed that the KA flights from PVG can be delayed hours. While we have a three hour connection, that can seemingly dwindle down to a 45 minute connection due to the delays. Do KA flights from PVG usually land at a remote terminal or a long distance from CX's HKG-SFO flights? Will we have to go through security again at HKG? Does KA/CX provide any special assistance to premium class passengers with short connections? Any advice would be appreciated.
