Bit of a bumpage as I did this yesterday.
At 5pm I presented myself to the customer services desk at galleries south and requested to be offloaded from the AMS flight.
I then got the transit to T5C at 1705 and stayed on as an arriving passenger. I did not do an airside transfer as I had to get my photo taken and perform conformance etc or I wouldn't be allowed on the plane apparently.
I had no delays here and got to the e-gates about 1712. THrough at 1720. I then made my way out and down to the heathrow express. Got there at 1727, just as the train pulled away! waited another 15 mins for the next one and transferred to the central area.
Once off the train it was a 9 minute walk to T2 security which was queueless and through in less than a minute.
I spilled out into T2 at 1759.
So, it takes an hour and only then if there are no queues at security or passports.
As an aside, despite offloading myself, I still got a call from the AMS flight boarder on my mobile asking where I was about 10 minutes before the AMS flight took off. Hope this didnt delay the flight.
