Flying in from LAX to SAN for a connecting flight to NRT. Will be arriving into the commuter terminal and need to get to terminal 2 (I believe) for the JAL NRT service. I would normally just drive from LA to SAN, but return flight is from ITM-LAX so this is not an option.

First, I have not yet booked LAX-SAN yet. There is a flight with an appx. 2 hour layover. Is this enough time to connect? Otherwise will have to take an early morning service with a very long layover.

Second, is there an inter-airport shuttle that can get us from the commuter terminal to Terminal 2 or do we have to go landslide to Terminal 2 and re clear security?

Finally, will checked bags be tagged all the way to NRT from LAX when connecting AA to JAL or do we need to get our bags at baggage claim at SAN and recheck?
