My general comments on flying in Y on an A380:

1. If the flight will be full, sit towards the front - it's somewhat cozy there, the views out the window are great (wings are behind you), higher concentration of restrooms, and you are the first to leave the aircraft.
2. If the flight is likely to not be full, sit towards the back for a chance of having nobody next to you.
3. Due to aircraft shape, window seats give you more elbow space than other aircraft.
