It sounds like your fare is non-refundable.

This is what travel insurance is for. Do you have it? (It is too late to be covered for this by buying a new policy now - it will be excluded as a known event.)

Otherwise you could ask FJ if they could use the fare paid as a credit towards rebooking another destination (check what penalty/fee will apply) to at least get some value out of the ticket.
