Quite honestly, the wide availability of dinner in both EWR and JFK lounges before the evening departure has changed the way I approach these flights. I now only take CW and don't even bother trying for the UUA to F, since I find the big dinner, lights out and sleep approach far better.

Previously, I would have taken F, the meal service, movies till LHR and then a few hours sleep either in a hotel or CCR the best approach. The flight is too short to appreciate F service AND sleep. If you have a l/h connection at LHR, that changes, of course.
