Something like this happened to me about a year or two back, I called and emailed and it still won't work. Then a month or two passed, it worked again without any hint -- I vaguely remember that I was just using it by accident. Thanks for sharing this. Did they indicate why in your phone or email conversations? I'll bug them again in a few days if I don't hear back and post the outcome.
