I've booked a ticket on NWA SFO-LAX-NRT-HKG-NRT-SFO for 07/02 to 07/06. $372 all in. The agent I spoke to thought it was an error and urged me to ticket it as soon as possible just in case, however I think it's in response to the SQ fares.

The tickets can be held for 3 days which will allow me to see what develops over the next day or two.

The agent confirmed that mileage accrual is allowed.
