We've booked a bunch of Peach cheapo fares (Y3000 from Tokyo!) and will be spending about a day in Fukuoka next month on our way to Yufuin. Aside from a
quick but ramenous airport stopover, it's my first time in FUK and I wanted to sanity check our plans.
Hotels in FUK seem surprisingly pricy on a Saturday night, especially if you want to cram in 4 people, but I ended up getting a "
Corner Club Room" at the ANA Crowne Plaza for Y25,000 (corporate rate). A bit more than I was hoping to pay, and I gather the hotel's getting a bit long in the tooth, but it ticks most of the boxes: decent room with enough beds & space (36 m2), near Hakata station, and access to the club lounge incl. breakfast. Any superior options I'm missing?
We'll get in late in the afternoon, so we were planning on checking out the famed yatai for dinner (is this feasible with young children?), and next morning we're hopping on the Yufuin no Mori train after checking out. Any kid-friendly attractions that we can/should/must do if we have a few hours to spare?
Thanks in advance ^
