6 EGK is probably as good as it gets. But the agent is right, this layout is not very ideal for traveling with small children. Neither of you will be directly next to your daughter. Between the E and G seat there is a quite big "wall" and no direct line of sight. The K seat is across the aisle. But this will basically be the same for any combination of three seats in a row.
