I would. I prefer upstairs to downstairs almost universally. The exception would be if I could only have a backward facing seat upstairs vs forward facing downstairs.
Downstairs, you're much closer to a galley which I think generates more noise. If you don't have earplugs, I recommend them. They will help if the noise bothers you.
